The family of Christolite Akweley Kuma Quaye, a 22-year-old woman who has been missing since August 20th, has formally petitioned the Ghana Police Service for assistance in locating their daughter.
According to the family, Christolite left home on the morning of August 20th after expressing concerns about two individuals, identified as Rich and Okwabi, both residents of Chorkor, a suburb of Accra.
Before leaving, Christolite reportedly told her family that she was going to confront the two men who she claimed had hurt her. However, she has not been seen or heard from since, and all efforts to contact her have been unsuccessful.
In the petition, Christolite's mother, Naomi Nelson, stated that the family has reached out to both Rich and Okwabi, but both men deny any knowledge of her whereabouts and claim that she never visited their residence.
The petition, addressed to the Director General of the Criminal Investigations Department (CID), reads in part:
On 20th August 2024, the said Christolite Akweley Kuma Quaye left home and has since not returned. Before she left home, she mentioned that one Rich and Okwabi had hurt her and said she was going to the said Rich’s house. We called both of them, and they claimed they did not know her whereabouts.
Naomi Nelson further stated that despite the family's best efforts to locate Christolite, their attempts have been in vain. The family is now seeking the assistance of the Ghana Police Service to help reunite them with their missing daughter.
The family is urging anyone with information about Christolite's whereabouts to contact the authorities immediately. The situation remains a matter of urgent concern, as the family continues to hold out hope for her safe return.
